The Centre de la francophonie des Amériques and RDÉE Canada have signed a collaborative agreement to create a virtual discussion, meeting and synergy place focused on the theme of Francophone economic development in the Americas.

This space is called the virtual Agora for entrepreneurs in the Americas and is intended for a Francophone business audience with access to a wide range of publications in French that are useful for developing their businesses.

This is why this pilot project is closely associated with the Bibliothèque des Amériques [Library of the Americas] in which you can register free of charge. The Bibliothèque des Amériques (BA) contains thousands of titles (business books, essays, poetry and short story collections, etc.) from over 150 publishing houses all over the continent.

The virtual Agora for entrepreneurs in the Americas has two objectives:

  • Make the digital resources of the BA available to entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations associated with the mission of RDÉE Canada and the Centre as well as to all people interested in Francophone economic development.
  • Publicize and promote to Francophone communities in the Americas that the economy is a sector that is important to the development of Francophonie in the Americas.

In order to do this, we are developing s series of agoras around a specific publication or work.

Authors, stakeholders and presenters with experience in the issues discussed will be available to share their points of view.

People surfing the net will be able to consult books in the Bibliothèque des Amériques in advance and then participate live in round tables by asking their questions in writing.
